After the launch of our new website last week, I received a message from Diego, formally of Conran, saying “i’m too lazy to open it on my computer, and its a bit small on my Iphone” so with some new adjustments, a .mobi url and a bit of webkit… here you go Digs.
Wishing our Interactive design student and recent work experience Amy Thornley congratualtions on winning the Smile for London competition and making Creative Reviews blog, great work, keep it up. See here for more details
Our newest designer Mike had his first gig for his band ‘The Captains’, at the battle of the bands in Lincoln. A great mix of punk and alternative rock, very impressive considering we did not know Mike could even sing. I can see the CD artwork now. Well done Mike.
When they said I could have a photo of the back of my eyes in my first eye examination, I had to get one. I thought in this line of work it would be best to look after them. It’s ok I still have perfect vision and my eyes are healthy, unless any opticians checking our blog see differently! I wonder what other photos you can get?
Our ex student Fu has taken the giant leap from university and set up a new multimedia company MNC check out his site. We knew it would be a loss to the studio when he went, so with some cleaning and painting (on his behalf) we now have a third floor in the studio where MNC can produce great work.
With a small amount of Studio View support we know he will be a success, work has already been produced for London agencies such as Bunch, Meme Partnership and DevilFish Creative. We can’t wait for a collaboration!
We are currently revitalising a project from last year called ‘Lincoln Story’. Today we have searched through around 200 maps to find the perfect style for our publication – awesome details and inspiration on these old design classics. Looks like something else has caught Jamesy’s eye – nice pic mate
The Studio is filled with boxes. We have every box that Napier uses to transport it’s parts covering the studio work space. Its a great project to work on but if I’m honest, I can’t wait for the boxes to move out! Keep you posted with the results.
